FAQs

1. I have never done a triathlon before, will it be safe?

A. The team at the Sussex triathlon festival and TL Sports Events work very closely with the appropriate organisations to ensure that every competitor and spectator is safe throughout the course of the events, there will be full marshal support who are first aid trained, St Johns Ambulance services and security to ensure you personal well-being and safety.

2. What are the race distances?

A. We will be offering three race distances, a sprint event 750/20/5 (ideal for first time racers) and a Standard distance 1500/40/10 and a Middle distance 1900/90/21

3. Do I need a wetsuit for the swim?

A. Although it is not a requirement we would strongly recommend the use of a wetsuit for all event distances.

4. Can I race as part of a team?

A. Yes, the Standard and Middle distance race will be accommodating relay teams.

5. What if I have entered and can no longer race for any reason?

A. We understand that not everyone that enters can race on the day, as soon as you advise us 4 weeks prior to the event we will happily defer you entry to the following year’s at no extra cost to you.

6. Can I get a refund on my entry?

A. Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds but we will defer your place to next year or you can opt for someone to take your place on race day
